Chatelherault Country Park

October 04, 2013

Hello ♥

Monday was a bank holiday for us in Scotland so with the other half being off from work and the weather being nice we decided to make the most of our day together. We thought we would take the dog for a considerable walk in Chatelherault Country Park. What we didn't quite bank on was walking for about two hours and a grand total 8km.

Despite being absolutely shattered by the time we got home (and rewarding ourselves with a Chinese) it was a really enjoyable afternoon. With no sound of traffic, the country park is beautiful and peaceful. Often we found ourselves walking for twenty minutes at a time without meeting another soul. It was fantastic and the dog certainly enjoyed herself - and her sleep when she got home!

Sorry for the photos being not the best quality. I only remembered I wanted to take my camera when we were five minutes from the park so I had to make do with the other half's iPhone!

Until next time!

In honestly when I saw you tweet about the 8km I automatically thought it was like a charity walk :)
It sounds like you had a lovely time, it's so nice to enjoy the outdoors. We are so lucky that we have countryside behind us, not great when your on your own but when a couple of us go it really is lovely :) minus the cow poo they spread haha :)

    1. We are quite lucky that there's quite a few nice country parks near us that are perfect for walks. We never meant to do 8km it's just how it worked out. We were so tired by the end though!

  3. Great pictures, love seeing all the autumnal shades to the leaves too!

    1. Thanks Rachael. The autumnal shades on the trees is one of my favourite things about this time of year!
