Before I'm 25 | The End

Well that's it. It's over.

I'm now twenty-five and so my before I'm 25 list is officially over and done with. I certainly haven't managed to complete as much as I would have liked to but life often gets in the way or things just simply get forgotten. Do you know what? I'm okay with that.

Being twenty-four definitely had it's ups and downs. We finally set a date to get married which is only a week away this coming Friday but I suffered really badly from the stress and anxiety it has brought. I watched a tonne of new films and took several trips to the cinema but I struggled to reach my modest target of 25 books in a year. I've made new friends through blogging this year, I met my second nephew and visited some new places I had never been to before but I still didn't manage to do some things around the house or socialise as much as I had intended.

I liked having my list to encourage me to try new things and I can see myself quite possibly doing something similar for turning thirty in five years time. For now though, I feel as though I'm entering a new stage in life. Maybe that's because twenty-five is the first real age that makes me feel like an adult or maybe it's because in less than two weeks I'll be a wife. I don't know. All I know is I'm excited to see what this next year will bring.

  1. Here's to the 25's club! I'll be 25 in November and I was tempting to make a list like this for turning 26, just for fun. Plus it's actually quite beneficial because it does make you do stuff so it's a win win! Modest goal of 25 books....phffft, I set my goal at 12 and I haven't even read 2...

    1. Exactly! I liked having the list for that exact reason: it encouraged me to do more things. I'm definitely going to try to read more books over the next few months. It's shocking how little I've been reading!

  2. I enjoyed being 25 - actually a lot of things happened for me while I was 25 - moved to the US and got married. I should probably do something similar for turning 30 in a couple of years, that might finally get me learning to drive ... perhaps!

    1. Learning to drive is such a scary prospect for me that I still haven't given it a go. The anxiety that comes with the mere idea of sitting in the car with a stranger is awful so I don't think I'm quite ready for it yet. Maybe once I get back on top of my anxiety I'll give it a go.

  3. Aaah you young 'uns! I've enjoyed having a list for 30 too, there's something incredibly satisfying about ticking bits off! Will your next list involve lots of wifely things?? Two more sleeps now? Sending all of the luck your way

I think my list for turning 30 shall include lots of wifey type things but who knows what exactly yet! I do love having a list that I can tick lots of things off from. It's definitely very satisfying!
